Trainee Plant Engineer (Night Shift)
Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate DOE
Working hours: 37.5 hours / 5 nights per week, Mon 10pm to Sat 6am
Trainee Plant Engineer (Night Shift)
Our processing plant and team of operatives are growing and, as a result, we need to expand our team of skilled engineers to be able to carry out proactive maintenance and reactive repairs to our plant machinery across all our operating hours.
The role
- responsible for developing own knowledge and skills by closely working with the skilled Plant Maintenance team
- with guidance from your skilled colleagues, undertake inspection and service routines, and repairs and testing of machinery
- investigate and diagnose faults, report findings and carry out all repairs to manufacturer’s standards
- assist in the cleaning of the MRF in all areas and remove waste within the plant in a safe and efficient manner
- ensure accurate records and information logs for all maintenance activities are completed and filed as required
What you need
- experience in a similar role within a workshop environment
- knowledge and understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical process environment
- ability to diagnose problems and identify preventative measures
- able to repair hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
- demonstrates commitment to own learning and development
- experience working with the recycling, waste, or comparable plant industries would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided
