Job Description

As a Data & Audio-Visual (AV) Field Engineer, your role within the company is pivotal. You'll be responsible for installing, commissioning, and decommissioning a diverse range of technology infrastructures in various office, commercial, or industrial settings. Being a national coverage service provider means you'll travel extensively across the country or within your assigned region, visiting our clients' workplaces, commercial establishments, and industrial facilities, including data centres and server rooms.

We operate several local installation teams across the country, each consisting of an Engineer paired with a Technician and a Van. As an experienced Field Engineer, you'll take the lead in coordinating all work for your team and providing training for your designated team member.

Requirements

What we're looking for in a Candidate:

We're seeking someone with several years of proven experience working as a Field Engineer, delivering physical installation of structured data cabling, moves of IT hardware & infrastructure within Data Centre/Server Rooms (racking & stacking), and commercial AV systems installation with commissioning.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Installation and termination of structured data cabling in Cat5E & Cat6A (fibre is a plus).
  • Installation and commissioning of a wide range of Audio & Video equipment.
  • Providing training and support to clients on A&V system operation and within handover of technology installation projects.
  • Data Centre racking & stacking including PDUs, patching, and structured data cabling installation between racks.
  • Desirable experience in leading installation or IT move projects, including supervising onsite technicians and contractors.
