Stores Operative
Due to Company expansion, we are recruiting for a Stores Operative. The successful candidate will work closely with the Procurement and Production teams and will be responsible for storing, issuing and controlling the materials required for production. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company with state-of-the-art facilities and ambitious plans for the future.
Job duties include:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming goods and materials, matching delivery notes to purchase orders, and reporting discrepancies to procurement or quality.
- Storing items in designated locations, labelling and organising inventory, maintaining accurate records, and performing regular cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Issuing materials to production, recording material movement in inventory system, replenishing consumable stock etc.
- Keeping stores tidy and ensure compliance with PPE and manual handling protocols.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in an engineering or stores environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
- Work to exceptionally high standards.
- Working as part of a team.
- Valid forklift licence would be advantageous.
