FULL DESCRIPTION

This is a great opportunity to join an ever expanding civil engineering company and the chance to contribute to large scale civil engineering and infrastructure jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and milestones for the groundworks phase.
  • Team Management: Lead, coordinate, and manage on-site teams, to ensure efficient operations.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the project.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and timely procurement of materials.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain quality standards, ensuring all works comply with design specifications and industry regulations.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, adjusting the project approach as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in heavy civils, with specific experience in earthworks projects.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or similar disciplines.
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency in managing Site Costs, Programme, Material Planning, and Forecasts.
  • Health & Safety: SMSTS certification preferred.
  • Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly resolve issues on-site and keep the project moving forward.
  • Full UK Driving License: A valid driver’s license is required due to the nature of site visits.
