Operations & Compliance Assistant (Agriculture)

• Daily organisation of diaries/​meetings for Operations Managers.

• Conducting internal audits. Arrange third party H&S Audits and manage actions

• Create reports as required.

• Support accident/​injury/​near miss tracking and follow ups.

• Manage competency, training and development matrix. Booking training and CPD where required.

• Assist with communication across the business including but not limited to ISO compliance, Health and Safety and internal communications.

• Support procurement activities such as supplier vetting, maintaining approved supplier lists, and monitoring supplier compliance.

• Assist with resource planning, capacity tracking, and operational scheduling where required.

• Assist in preparing for external & internal audits, ensuring documentation and evidence are up to date including a compliance calendar showing audit schedules, policy review dates, statutory deadlines.

• Collate & distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports as required.

• Onboarding of new starters including induction and familarisation

• Become ​‘superuser’ on main operating system providing guidance and training internally as well as feedback and development externally.

• Any other admin duties as required to ensure business continuity.

Person Specification:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organisational skills, meeting deadlines, plan and prioritise workloads.

• Good understanding of quote/​job process flow.

• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, seeking clarity when required.

• Strong computer literacy and knowledge of operating systems.

• Must be a good team player or work well in autonomy and under own initiative.

• Works to exceed customer expectations.

• Internal Auditing and/​or ISO knowledge/​experience and an interest in Health and Safety an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing conflicting priorities.

• Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement attitude.
