FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our day shift team, supporting the ongoing performance, reliability, and safety of our workshop and production equipment. This hands-on role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency within our agricultural equipment engineering facility.

Job responsibilities/duties:

  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs on machinery including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure minimal downtime through quick response and effective troubleshooting.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently on a day shift with occasional flexibility when required.
