[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our day shift team, supporting the ongoing performance, reliability, and safety of our workshop and production equipment. This hands-on role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency within our agricultural equipment engineering facility.
Job responsibilities/duties:
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on machinery including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ensure minimal downtime through quick response and effective troubleshooting.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Recognised qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on a day shift with occasional flexibility when required.
