Associate Landscape Planner

We are looking for an Associate Landscape Planner to join the team.

Location: Kent or London

With the enthusiasm and hard work of a small and talented team, we are growing fast. The work is exciting and challenging. We have fantastic projects on the go, from large strategic sites in complex and sensitive locations to compact urban realms site and we need people that are enthusiastic, proactive, open and communicative, who share our values and love our career.

We pride ourselves in helpful, honest and open communication with our clients and project teams; this allows us to give our clients thoughtful, analytical advice, and work closely with all members of a project team.

We are looking for someone who can manage workloads and thrive in an environment which will have its pressures being a growing business but also embrace the positives of this. In return you will feel valued and motivated.

We are a flexible working company, offering the option of working 3 days a week working from home if preferred, and we would require attendance at ‘studio days’ twice a week in Canterbury to maintain a studio culture.

Skills we are looking for in the role of Associate Landscape Planner:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with large design teams
  • Chartered or on the pathway to chartership with the Landscape Institute
  • Ability to explain and justify your position and ideas eloquently
  • A supportive team player
  • Open to ideas and confident in putting your views forward
  • Experience within urban and strategic sites
  • Highly experienced with Green Belt, scenic landscape designations and EIA development
  • Expert witness experience advantageous (be it helping to support others or giving evidence yourself)
  • A keen interest in planning policy
  • Ability to be flexible and respond creatively to inevitable complications as they arise
  • Tall building assessment experience would be advantageous.
