[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Corporate Finance Analyst to support its expansion in Europe & US. The role involves financial planning, data analysis, and involvement in M&A transactions. The candidate will be responsible for financial modeling, valuation, and client relationship management.

Corporate Finance Analyst – Remote

As [Employer hidden] continues its expansion in Europe & US we are looking to hire a Corporate Finance Analyst. You will be responsible for maintaining the skills and knowledge relevant to assigned responsibilities. In addition, you will promote and advocate the adoption of appropriate new methodologies for quantitative models and analysis that benefit the Company. You will provide assistance with identifying and designing quantitative solutions to problems as presented by management to further the Company’s strategic plans. This role provides coaching or mentoring to other team members.

Support in the origination and execution of M&A, growth equity and financial sponsor transactions across a large range of sector verticals (Industrial distribution, MSPs, Human Capital etc). Competence in financial modelling and valuation is a key requirement of this role and you will work across a number of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs extensive data analysis in support of financial planning, stress testing and reporting.
  • Develops, tests, and documents internally developed quantitative models and analytics, including complex financial, statistical frameworks and financial reporting.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of routine analytics and reports.
  • Develops, tests, and documents procedures and controls for executing external, third-party models.
  • Utilizes industry standard quantitative software, data science programming languages, database systems, and workstation productivity applications to produce required deliverables.
  • Assists with the creation of management and regulatory reports containing descriptions of the development, testing, validation and execution of quantitative modeling and analytic outputs.
  • You will assist in the targeting and closing of new deal opportunities.
  • Assists with departmental cross-training and knowledge transfer to minimize staffing risk and promote effective communications.
  • Prepare and deliver pitches and other presentations for prospective clients
  • Assist and lead M&A deals end-to-end, including sell and buy-side, growth equity and financial sponsor transactions
  • Review junior team member outputs on a project-by-project basis
  • Conduct in-house training and coach junior team members
  • Create and develop templates
  • Maintain client and key stakeholder relationships
  • Be a key contact point on transactions / deal origination taking ultimate responsibility for materials and leading client calls
  • Build own network and relationships with relevant industry participants

Required experience includes:

  • Approx. 3-6 years of experience in M&A Investment Banking, Valuation, Private Equity or Venture Capital
  • Prior transaction experience and end-to-end project management experience
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with knowledge of sectors the Company operates in either demonstrated through past work experiences, academic background and / or other extracurricular activities

Skills, Abilities and Personal Qualities:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly valuations and financial modelling
  • Ability to work in an international team, supporting senior members and coaching and mentoring juniors
  • Self-starter, with a proactive approach in taking the initiative on deal-related and other business matters
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects
  • Deadline and detail orientated
