RBT (Registered Behaviour Technician)

This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team supporting children with various language needs between of ages 2 to 11 years old.

You must have experience of working with children in the autism spectrum disorder and have the desire and passion to learn and develop new skills, to join our friendly and supportive team.

#### As an RBT, you will work 37.5 hours a week to:

  • Assist in clinically related activities, including working directly with children
  • Clinical administration
  • Conduct and develop audits and/or research projects
  • Creation of documentation
  • Participating in training

You are required to work on the weekend

You will engage and work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that children are fully engaged in their care pathway, with significant focus on providing communication support to Autistic children and children with a Learning Disability.

With support and supervision from the Lead Speech and Language Therapist and a BCBA, you will develop and implement individualised communication and behavioural interventions and communication supports based on children’ needs and strengths, encouraging co-production of service, independence, and development of life skills with a focus on improving quality of life.

#### Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with Lead Speech and Language Therapist and a BCBA to develop and implement individualised programmes
  • Working closely with families of children in your care
  • Completing speech and language assessment tools and analysing results (with support from the SLT & BCBA)
  • Creating and maintaining resources for the clinic
  • Supporting and participating with staff training and development
  • Providing high-quality written reports (supervised by the BCBA)
  • Attending regular clinical and service development meetings
  • Being an integral part of the multidisciplinary team
  • Contributing to audit and research projects

#### To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with children in a similar or related field relevant to the post
  • Knowledge of communication approaches
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Autism
  • Knowledge of SL therapy or willingness to undergo training
  • Excellent literacy and technology skills to be able to create reports and utilise specialised communication aid software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
