Job Description

We’re the team behind the UK’s telecom networks—building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected! From fibre installs to 5G rollouts, we make it happen with innovation, speed, and a smile. If you love a challenge and want to be part of something big, Comex 2000 is the place to be.

As a Recruitment Advisor, you’ll play a key part in helping us hire the people who keep our telecoms projects moving. You’ll manage end‑to‑end hiring for field, technical, project and support roles, ensuring a smooth, efficient process and a great candidate experience.

Day‑to‑day you’ll source, screen, coordinate interviews and work closely with hiring managers and the People team to meet fast‑paced recruitment needs. You’ll also help build talent pipelines, keep systems updated and support wider hiring activity.

The role includes occasional ad‑hoc travel across the Midlands and the North.

What You’ll Do

  • Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Build talent pools and represent the business at local and early‑talent events.
  • Advise hiring managers on processes, timelines, market insights, and effective interviewing.
  • Ensure all recruitment activity follows legislation, internal policies, and client requirements.
  • Keep accurate records, track candidates, and maintain up‑to‑date system information.
  • Support onboarding by coordinating start dates and necessary documentation.
  • Report on key recruitment metrics and share insights to improve processes.
  • Support employer brand initiatives and help deliver a great candidate experience.
  • Carry out basic market benchmarking and ensure roles align with the career framework.
  • Promote the use of digital and AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a reliable point of contact.
  • Collaborate with HR and other teams to share insights and ensure consistent practices.

Requirements

  • Skilled in using ATS systems, job boards, sourcing tools, and recruitment reporting.
  • Experience delivering end‑to‑end recruitment, ideally in high‑volume or technical sectors.
  • Background in telecoms, utilities, engineering, or construction recruitment is advantageous.
  • Understanding of technical roles (e.g., Fibre Engineers, Cablers, Civils Operatives, Supervisors, Planners).
