Home Manager | Residential & Dementia Care Home

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + 10% bonus

Are you an experienced Home Manager looking for a well-run, stable service where you can truly lead - not fix?

Do you thrive in environments with strong foundations, supportive leadership, and high standards already in place?

If so, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

The Opportunity

We are working with a respected care provider to recruit a Home Manager for a well-established, medium-sized residential and dementia care home in Huddersfield.

This is not a turnaround role. The home is performing well, with a Good CQC rating, strong occupancy, and a stable, committed team already in place. The opportunity has arisen due to internal progression, making this an ideal move for an experienced manager seeking a steady, well-supported environment.

The Home

  • Medium-sized residential and dementia service with good occupancy
  • Good CQC rating
  • No agency usage
  • Experienced Deputy Manager in post
  • Supportive senior leadership structure

This is one of the provider’s stronger-performing homes, offering a solid platform for a capable leader to maintain and build upon existing success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership across all aspects of the home
  • Maintain and enhance CQC compliance and quality standards
  • Support, develop, and motivate an established staff team
  • Ensure excellent resident care and experience at all times
  • Manage occupancy, budgets, and overall performance
  • Build positive relationships with families and stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Home Manager within a similar-sized elderly care setting
  • Strong track record of maintaining Good or above CQC ratings
  • Experienced in residential and/or dementia care
  • Confident managing stable services
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Why Apply?

  • Join a stable, well-performing home with strong foundations
  • Work with a provider that supports and develops its managers
  • No agency reliance
  • Clear structure with Deputy and senior leadership support
  • Genuine opportunity to lead without the pressures of turnaround

Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Home Manager seeking a stable, high-performing service where they can focus on leadership, quality, and team development rather than turnaround.
