Behaviour Analyst – Adult Learning Disabilities & Autism

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is excited to be working with a well-established provider of specialist care and support services, to recruit for two Behaviour Analysts to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

You will visit residential homes and supported accommodation across Yorkshire, where you will carry out specialist assessments and interventions for adults who have complex needs, learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and autism. Following a PBS Framework, you will work directly with individuals to identify achievable, person-centred goals, as well as deliver internal training to ensure staff have the skills to provide high quality and supportive environments.

There are two roles available, due to internal promotions, which cover different geographical remits depending on your home location.

  • One role will oversee residential and supported accommodation services in Scunthorpe, Barnsley and York
  • The other will cover the specialist college, residential and supported-living services around Doncaster

You will be part of a wider multidisciplinary team which includes Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Psychologists, Behaviour Analysts, PBS Specialists, Clinical Psychologists and Therapy Assistants. The team meets on a weekly basis to review referrals, discuss shared care plans, receive clinical supervision and participate in CPD.

Essential criteria

  • Masters level qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or Positive Behavioural Support (PBS)
  • Registration with the UK Society of Behaviour Analysis (UKSBA)
  • Experience and good knowledge of working with a PBS framework
  • Previous experience working with adults who have learning disabilities and autism
  • Knowledge of restrictive practice reduction
  • Experience working as a Behaviour Analyst
  • UK driving licence and own car

Location

Depending on where you live, you will be based at one of the following locations; Scunthorpe, Doncaster, York or Barnsley. These locations are commutable from Leeds, Sheffield, Gainsborough, Huddersfield, Goole, Pontefract, Wakefield, Selby and surrounding towns.
