Nursery Room Leader – Reading, Berkshire RG30

Salary: Circa £30,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours: 4 or 5 Days – 40 hours | 8:00am–6:00pm | Permanent, all year round

We are seeking a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our dedicated team in Reading, Berkshire (RG30).

Based in a long-standing private nursery with a large enclosed natural garden and a separate baby area, this role is perfect for someone able to lead, motivate, and inspire a team while delivering high-quality childcare. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, supporting children’s development and wellbeing in line with EYFS and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage your nursery room and team
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Create and implement engaging educational programs
  • Build positive relationships with parents, children, and staff
  • Manage budgets, resources, and overall nursery operations

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Previous nursery practitioner experience
  • Extensive knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, child protection, and SEND
  • Experience developing high-performing teams through motivation, coaching, and training
  • Experience participating in Ofsted inspections with “Good” or “Outstanding” outcomes
  • Ability to build strong parent partnerships
  • Eligible to work in the UK
