FULL DESCRIPTION

Salary: £50,000 per year (from April increasing to £59,000)

Days/Hours: 40 hours per week across 4 days | Shifts between 7:30am–6:30pm

Contract: All Year Round / Permanent

Nursery Manager – Tooting, London, SW17

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a large, well-established Nursery.

This purpose-built setting offers places for up to 120 children and is supported by a strong leadership structure including two Deputy Managers and a Third in Charge, enabling shared leadership and clear progression. The Nursery operates all year round and closes for one week over Christmas. Set at the heart of the community, the space was designed from a blank canvas to create an exceptional early years environment. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a passionate Nursery Manager who wants to lead, inspire, and make a meaningful impact every day.

Responsibilities

  • • Lead the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring outstanding standards of care and education
  • • Safeguard the welfare of children, staff, and families at all times
  • • Lead, support, and develop a large staff team
  • • Ensure the EYFS is embedded through high-quality, interest-led practice
  • • Celebrate and track children’s learning and development in partnership with families
  • • Drive continuous improvement across the nursery

About You

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant) • At least 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and compliance • Confident leader with excellent communication and people-management skills • Passionate about inclusive practice and staff development • Eligible to work in the UK
