Nursery Practitioner – Streatham, London, SW16

Salary: £12.50–£12.75 per hour / £26,520 per year (depending on hours, experience and qualifications)

Hours: 40 hours per week | 4 or 5 days | Shifts between 8:00am–6:00pm

Contract: Permanent, all year round

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team.

This role also offers the opportunity to progress into a Room Leader position for the right candidate. If you’re passionate about early years education and supporting children to learn, play and grow, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • • Provide high-quality care and early education
  • • Create a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment
  • • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities
  • • Observe, record and share children’s development with parents
  • • Support daily routines including meals, hygiene and rest
  • • Maintain a clean, safe and organised nursery
  • • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth daily operations

About You

  • Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner
  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • • Strong knowledge of the EYFS
  • • Excellent safeguarding, child protection and SEND understanding
  • • Ability to motivate and work effectively as part of a team
  • • Proven skills in building positive parent partnerships
  • • Eligible to work in the UK
