Nursery Chef – Paddington, London W2

Salary: £30,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Days/Hours: 38 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:30pm

Contract: All Year Round / Permanent

We are seeking a passionate Nursery Chef to join our private bilingual Montessori Nursery. We care for children aged 6 months to 4 years and follow a strong organic food philosophy, helping children develop healthy habits for life.

As the sole chef, you will manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing a fully organic rotating menu including morning snack, lunch for 45 children and 25 staff, and afternoon snack. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity within a supportive early years setting.

Responsibilities

• • Maintain high hygiene standards in line with Food Standards Agency guidelines
• • Plan and prepare balanced organic menus considering dietary needs
• • Maintain kitchen records and procedures
• • Manage stock, equipment, and food safety compliance
• • Ensure meals are prepared and served on time

About You

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Nursery or School Chef/Cook

• Passion for children’s nutrition

• Experience managing allergies and dietary requirements

• Organised and confident working independently

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality

• Eligible to work in the UK
