£14.34 £ / Hour

Before & After School Club Playworker – Stratford, London, E15

Salary: £14.34 per hour (including accrued holiday pay)

Days/Hours: 22.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Breakfast Club 7:30am–9:00am & After School Club 3:00pm–6:00pm

Contract: Permanent, term-time only | Split shifts

*Must be available to work all 5 days and both shifts*

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Playworker to support our Breakfast and After School Club. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys creating fun, safe, and engaging environments where children can relax, play, and thrive outside of school hours. You will be part of a friendly, supportive team and play a key role in supporting children’s wellbeing, confidence, and development.

Responsibilities

  • • Supervise and engage children in play-based activities
  • • Plan and deliver age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
  • • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times
  • • Support snack and mealtime routines
  • • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised play environment
  • • Communicate effectively with parents and carers
  • • Maintain compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements

About You

• Previous experience in early years, schools, or wraparound care • SEN experience preferred • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills • Good understanding of safeguarding and childcare compliance • Ability to create inclusive, engaging environments • Eligible to work in the UK
