FULL DESCRIPTION

Early Years Practitioner – Elstead, Surrey, GU8

Salary: £13.00–£14.00 per hour (depending on hours, qualifications, and experience)

Hours: 40 hours over 4 days *or* 30 hours over 3 days | Shifts between 8:00am–6:00pm / All year round, permanent (not suitable for term-time or school-hours applicants)

We are delighted to announce a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our warm and welcoming nursery in Elstead, Surrey (GU8). As a small, nurturing setting, we pride ourselves on truly knowing each child as an individual, supporting them to grow into confident, independent, and happy learners. Our beautiful village location, purpose-built garden, local playing fields, park, and nearby forest all contribute to a rich outdoor learning experience inspired by nature and child-led exploration.

We care for children aged 3 months to 5 years and provide a personal, home-from-home environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Create engaging, stimulating learning experiences
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit team
  • Ensure children’s safety, wellbeing, and development at all times
  • Support relationships with a small group of key children and their families

About You

  • Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner
  • Passionate about child development and early education
  • Able to create nurturing, inspiring environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of the EYFS and child development
  • Role dependent on clear DBS and two satisfactory references
  • Eligible to work in the UK
