FULL DESCRIPTION

Nursery Room Leader – Woking, Surrey GU22

Salary: Up to £14.40 per hour / £30,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours: 40 hours per week | 4 days | Shifts 8:00am–6:00pm

Contract: Permanent, all year round

Nursery Room Leader – Woking, Surrey GU22

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a lovely nursery near Woking, Surrey (GU22). This role is based in the 3–5 year old room and would suit a confident Room Leader who is also interested in taking on Third in Charge responsibilities. You will be joining a vibrant, outdoor-loving team that is committed to delivering outstanding early years care and education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a room of up to 30 children and manage up to 4 staff members
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s development in line with the EYFS
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records and learning journeys
  • Promote positive behaviour and support children’s independence
  • Work collaboratively to maintain high standards of care and education

About You

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Room Leader or experienced Practitioner
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Passion for outdoor learning and inclusive practice
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
