Horticultural Production Operative

Job Summary

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are seeking a horticultural production operative to join our ever-expanding team. The job role will involve all duties concerned in the production and delivery of specimen trees and plants. We are looking for an individual who is an excellent team player with solid-organisational and communication skills. They will demonstrate a willingness to learn and have an excellent work ethic.

The candidate for this role will be highly self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate reliability, initiative, and flexibility, as well as being comfortable and capable of working as part of a team. The position involves working outside in inclement weather conditions, so a love of the outdoors is essential. While previous experience of working in a similar role would be beneficial, full training would be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preparing trees for dispatch.
• Operating agricultural vehicles & equipment.
• Planting and Potting Stock.
• Moving large trees.
• Working outside in all weathers.
• Loading / unloading vehicles.
• Loading / unloading trees from trailer by hand.
• Tying trees
• Irrigation System Inspection
• Maintaining good environmental standards.
• Maintaining good standards of Health and Safety.
