Business Development Associate

Role Overview:
We are looking for people who can a build quality, reliable sales pipeline as part of our New Business Sales team. You'll report to the Head of New Business. Internally, we call this role Business Development Associate and you'll work along side 2 others in the team.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the UK financial services industry and of the opportunities, challenges and needs of Advisers and Investment managers.
- Build detailed knowledge of [Employer hidden]’s products and services and how they can deliver high levels of value to prospects.
- Understand the competitive landscape in which [Employer hidden] operates.
- Determine and utilise appropriate sales tactics to ensure that key metrics are hit (in terms of identifying leads, qualified meetings, pipeline) and conversion targets are met.
- Plan strategy for multi-channel outreach (mix of calls, emails and LinkedIn) to prospects.
- For each lead identified, develop a clear understanding of the customer’s needs and promote appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
- Complete all sales administration activities, including setting up and updating customer records in CRM and diarising and logging all customer-related activity.
What you'll need to succeed:
Essential Requirements:
- Some experience of selling in a telephone based role, minimum of 12 months.
- Knowledge and/or interest in financial services sector are preferred - you'll be reaching out to professional prospects right across financial services, from banks and general insurers to financial advisers.
- Strong organisational skills.

This is a hybrid role and your office base will be in Haddenham.
