Job Title: Project Engineer – Structures
Reports to: Group Director
Job Purpose: We require an experienced Project Engineer in our London office to join our Structural engineering team

DESCRIPTION
We are looking for people with the following:
- — A good masters degree in structural or civil engineering
- — 2+ years’ proven experience in structural engineering consultancy
- — Good communication skills and collaborative approach
- — An interest in buildings, architecture and the built environment
- — Good analytical skills and experience of a range of software's
- — Working knowledge of BS/EN standards
RESPONSIBILITIES
- — Report to the structures Group Director in London and senior members of the team
- — Represent [Employer hidden] at workshops, design team meetings and site meetings with our clients and collaborators
- — Develop structural designs on projects at a range of scales in concrete, steel, timber, masonry and other materials.
- — Coordinate with architect and other engineering consultants as part of the team
- — Contribute to production of internal technical notes and R&D initiatives
- — Reviews own and others’ work as part of quality assurance
- — Maintains up to date technical knowledge
- — Uses analytical software effectively and interprets the outputs well
- — Applies theory to practice and in a logical way
- — Highlights potential problems and ensures there is resolution.
