Job Title: Project Engineer – Structures
Reports to: Group Director

Job Purpose: We require an experienced Project Engineer in our London office to join our Structural engineering team

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for people with the following:

  • — A good masters degree in structural or civil engineering
  • — 2+ years’ proven experience in structural engineering consultancy
  • — Good communication skills and collaborative approach
  • — An interest in buildings, architecture and the built environment
  • — Good analytical skills and experience of a range of software's
  • — Working knowledge of BS/EN standards

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • — Report to the structures Group Director in London and senior members of the team
  • — Represent [Employer hidden] at workshops, design team meetings and site meetings with our clients and collaborators
  • — Develop structural designs on projects at a range of scales in concrete, steel, timber, masonry and other materials.
  • — Coordinate with architect and other engineering consultants as part of the team
  • — Contribute to production of internal technical notes and R&D initiatives
  • — Reviews own and others’ work as part of quality assurance
  • — Maintains up to date technical knowledge
  • — Uses analytical software effectively and interprets the outputs well
  • — Applies theory to practice and in a logical way
  • — Highlights potential problems and ensures there is resolution.
