[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group is seeking a Renewable Technologies Plumber to install, maintain, repair, and fault-find plumbing and mechanical renewable and energy efficiency systems, including ASHPs, EAHPs, GSHPs, and more. The role requires adherence to safety standards, diagnostics, and client interaction. Qualifications include NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating, G3 certification, and a UK Driving Licence. Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role is to install, maintain, repair, and fault-find across [Employer hidden] Group’s portfolio of plumbing and mechanical renewable and energy efficiency systems, including Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), Exhaust Air Heat Pumps (EAHPs), Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs), Unvented Cylinders (UVC), Thermal Stores (TS), Heat Interface Units (HIUs), Underfloor Heating (UFH), and Solar Hot Water (SHW), ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety policies, carrying out risk assessments and working safely in occupied and unoccupied client properties.
  • Perform scheduled planned maintenance, immediate reactive repairs, and diagnostics across all heating and plumbing technologies covered by the role.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and plumbing faults promptly and efficiently across various installations and client properties.
  • Execute system swap-outs and replacement works for failed heating and hot water components/systems.
  • Generate detailed write-ups and technical assessments following any job where further work is required, to enable the Operations Team to prepare accurate quotes and proposals for follow-on works.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in strict accordance with relevant industry standards, building regulations (e.g., G3), and company health and safety procedures.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including job sheets, service reports, and compliance certificates.
  • Undertake minor associated ventilation maintenance, including basic checks on MVHR, MEV, and PIV systems.

Skills to Demonstrate:

  • Strong diagnostic and practical expertise in plumbing and heating systems.
  • Practical experience with low-carbon and renewable technologies is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills when dealing with clients and tenants.
  • Commitment to maintaining exceptional safety standards.
  • Adaptability to work across residential (HAs/LAs), commercial, and educational environments.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 Plumbing & Heating or equivalent vocational qualification (mandatory).
  • Unvented Hot Water / G3 certification (mandatory).
  • Certification or demonstrable experience in the maintenance and repair of Air Source Heat Pumps are preferred but training can be provided.
  • Relevant training in Water Regulations and Energy Efficiency.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A DBS check is required for this role (or willingness to undergo one)
