Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies, performing maintenance, diagnosing faults, and completing documentation. The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification, and a UK Driving Licence.

Our dedicated team design, supply, install, and provide maintenance for all of our clients’ renewables requirements. [Employer hidden] Group has a long history in the renewable energy transition, installing our first heat pump over 22 years ago.

[Employer hidden] Group has two main business units focused on commercial projects installations and repair and maintenance for blue chip clients.
Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to install, maintain, repair, and fault-find across [Employer hidden] Group’s portfolio of electrical and renewable energy systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety policies, carrying out risk assessments and working safely in occupied and unoccupied client properties.
- Perform scheduled planned maintenance and immediate reactive repairs on a variety of electrical technologies, including Solar PV systems, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), and EV Charging points, amongst others.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly and efficiently across various installations and client properties.
- Execute system swap-outs and replacement works for failed electrical systems and components.
- Generate detailed write-ups and technical assessments following any job where further work is required, to enable the Operations Team to prepare accurate quotes and proposals for follow-on works.
- Ensure all works are carried out in strict accordance with the BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), relevant industry standards, and company health and safety procedures.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including job sheets, inspection reports, and electrical test certificates.
Skills to Demonstrate:
- Expertise in electrical fault-finding and diagnostics on systems.
- Practical experience with low-carbon and renewable technologies is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills when dealing with clients and tenants.
- Commitment to maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
- Adaptability to work across residential (HAs/LAs), commercial, and educational environments.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018) certification (mandatory).
- Relevant certifications for working on renewable technologies (e.g., Solar PV, EV charging) are preferred but training can be provided.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A DBS check is required for this role (or willingness to undergo one)
Package Offered:
- Highly Competitive Salary (£38,000 – £45,000 Depending on Experience and Qualifications).
