Production Assistant

As we continue our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking like-minded individuals to support and enhance our team on an exciting journey.

As part of the Production Support Team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Working closely with the Shift Manager, your role will focus on achieving quality, production, and efficiency targets.

You will support the efficient production of products throughout the manufacturing process, adhering to standards and exceeding customer and business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • • Maintain and repair press tooling to meet daily production and efficiency targets
  • • Assess, diagnose, and address production issues
  • • Perform fault-finding activities and propose viable solutions
  • • Keep accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs
  • • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure maximum operational effectiveness
  • • Report any press maintenance concerns promptly
  • • Escalate unresolved issues following the correct process
  • • Maintain a high level of housekeeping to meet BRC standards
  • • Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with HSE requirements
  • • Complete Hazard Tags when necessary
  • • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • • Perform any additional duties as required by the business

Knowledge & Experience

  • • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, production support, or maintenance role
  • • Minimum 1 year in a technical or mechanical maintenance capacity
  • • Experience in servicing and general repair of tooling
  • • Skilled in fault finding and implementing quality improvements in a production setting
  • • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • • Strong sense of priority and ability to structure workload effectively
  • • High attention to detail across all areas of responsibility
  • • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
  • • Capable of working under time pressure and meeting deadlines
  • • Strong communication skills
