Business Support Officer (3-Month Temporary Contract)

Location: Weston super Mare 

Salary: £18 per hour

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (3 months)

About the Team

The Children’s Services Learning & Development Team supports the professional development of all Children’s Services staff. We provide a wide range of training opportunities and are committed to fostering a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and organized Business Support Officer to provide administrative support to the Children’s Services Learning & Development team. This temporary, full-time role will be for a period of 3 months and will involve assisting with the smooth running of our training and development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with staff regarding available training courses, schedules, and updates.
  • Manage training attendance data and maintain accurate records.
  • Arrange training venues, including bookings and logistical coordination.
  • Process invoices related to training activities.
  • Work closely with the Practice Development Manager to support the design and delivery of courses.
  • Use data management systems to track, report, and analyze training information.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.
  • Experience using data management systems to record and report information.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a learning and development or training environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
