As Mechanical Project Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of diverse commercial M&E schemes including hospitals, schools, R&D facilities, factories, and industrial campuses. Taking over from pre-construction handover through to final commissioning, you’ll manage full mechanical packages (HVAC, ductwork, pipework, plumbing, controls) on projects ranging from £1M to £7M, with a growing pipeline well ahead of current capacity.

As Mechanical Project Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of diverse commercial M&E schemes including hospitals, schools, R&D facilities, factories, and industrial campuses. Taking over from pre-construction handover through to final commissioning, you’ll manage full mechanical packages (HVAC, ductwork, pipework, plumbing, controls) on projects ranging from £1M to £7M, with a growing pipeline well ahead of current capacity.
Working closely with an in-house design team, you’ll be expected to work independently, manage delivery teams and subcontractors, uphold H&S and quality standards, and contribute to shaping the future of the business. This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager with around 5 years’ experience, looking for autonomy, progression, and long-term opportunity within a well-established business.
Mechanical Project Manager Package:
- £60,000–£70,000 basic salary
- 10% performance-based bonus linked to KPIs and company performance

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end mechanical project delivery (new build/refurbishments)
- Coordinate with design teams and report into Directors across all stages
- Drive procurement, cost control, site management, RAMS, variations, and commissioning
- Liaise directly with clients and M&E subcontractors, maintaining high standards and compliance
- Oversee documentation, H&S, and seamless project close‑out
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 5 years’ experience in mechanical delivery within MEP, HVAC, or building services contractors
- Proven background with commercial projects, hospitals, schools, R&D, industrial environments
- Technical proficiency in HVAC, ductwork, pipework, plumbing, heating, controls
- Self-motivated, independent, with strong initiative and leadership presence
- Excellent client and subcontractor management skills
- Adaptable with strong communication skills to suit different director reports and stakeholder styles
