Introduction
The food and drink industry is one of the UK’s largest and most dynamic sectors. This Level 2 apprenticeship equips your technical operators with the core knowledge, practical skills, and behaviours needed to support consistent, high-quality production in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
Working with your production systems, equipment, and SOPs, learners develop critical skills in food safety, hygiene, fault-finding, line operations and regulatory compliance. They’ll also be trained in interpreting performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement, making them valuable contributors to team output and product quality.

The food and drink industry is massive – from snacks and drinks to fresh salads, cakes, and ready meals. Every one of those products needs skilled people behind the scenes. That could be you.
This Level 2 programme helps you learn how to work safely, follow processes, solve problems and work as part of a production team. You’ll get trained by people who’ve worked in the industry, and you’ll build confidence while learning on the job – not stuck in a classroom every day. You’ll even work towards your English and maths if you haven’t already got them.
