Job Overview: As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role involves assisting with daily activities such as personal care, medication support, companionship, and household tasks for clients with various needs, including elderly individuals and those with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility and support with movement within the home.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with healthcare needs.
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Report any changes in the client’s health or wellbeing to the Care Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to clients and their families.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in care work is preferred but not essential.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient with a commitment to helping others.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A clean UK driving license and access to a car may be required, depending on the area.
