Experienced paint shop prep technician/shotblaster required to join paint shop team.

Paint Shop Preparation Technician

The [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group, consisting of [Employer hidden] Superturn, Colson [Employer hidden] and Vector [Employer hidden] are manufacturers of high specification component parts and assemblies, with HQ based in the national hub of engineering expertise – the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) S60 5FS, and at Bessemer Way, S60 1FB.

The successful applicant will be based at Vector House, S60 1FB – close to M1 junction 34.

This is a permanent, full time role to suit an experienced Shotblaster/Paint Shop Labourer, required to effectively prepare machined components in order for them to be painted/coated to meet required quality standards. Duties and responsibilities include;

  • Surface preparation of products to be coated using mechanical blasting and chemical processes
  • Handling high value parts in a safe and careful manner (weighing up to 7 tonnes) with the use of overhead lifting equipment
  • Commitment to consistently producing a quality product including inspecting and recording accurate and auditable information.
  • Adhere to strict Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures and legislation.

Our successful candidate must have: – Previous shotblasting experience – Strong work ethic & ‘will do’ attitude – Desire to learn – Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Core hours of work:

This is a Dual Shift position, whereby the job holder will work Day & PM shift on a weekly recurring basis – Day shift: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-12:00 (39 hours per week) PM shift: Monday to Thursday 16:00-02:30 (40 hours per week)
