Salary: £12.60 plus additional 12.07% holiday pay. Example hourly wage: £12.60 + 12.07% = £14.12p/hr

As an Event Steward with [Employer hidden], you’ll enjoy a varied and interesting role working as part of a successful team to deliver consistently outstanding customer service, ensuring all patrons have a safe and memorable time.

Duties

Event stewarding is all about creating a positive, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for everyone attending. As a steward, you’ll be the first point of contact greeting guests with a smile, helping with directions, checking tickets, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Whether you’re assisting in the car park, monitoring crowds, or reporting concerns to supervisors, your role is vital in ensuring each event is enjoyable and well-organised. It’s a job that values your people skills, attention to detail, and calm approach under pressure.

  • Meeting and greeting customers with smile and a ‘hello’
  • Providing general directions and assistance with queries
  • Ticket checking, car park marshalling, and hospitality
  • Monitoring crowds
  • Reporting any security/safety concerns to your Supervisor
  • Dealing with customer complaints

Candidate Requirements

Smartly presented, with a smile and an outgoing personality that will give customers confidence in your ability

  • Team spirit and diligence to support your colleagues in their duties
  • Attention to detail and an ability to recognise anything that is out of place
  • A strong command of the English language with good verbal and written communication abilities
  • Honesty and a can-do attitude to challenges
  • Flexible availability for shifts throughout the summer
  • Driving licence and your own transport to get to site is an advantage but not essential
