A well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Bedfordshire is seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Controller to join their Finance Team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, managing a small team, and reporting directly to the CFO.

The role:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring effective workflow and development of team members.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial policies.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.

About you:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualified accountant with significant experience in a financial management role.

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and operational finance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • High proficiency in financial software and Excel; experience with multi-site or complex financial systems is a plus.
