Animal Technician

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Animal Technician to support the daily care of animals while working alongside children in an educational setting. This is a temporary, part-time role ideal for someone with a passion for animal welfare and supporting young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily care and welfare of animals
  • Feeding, cleaning, and maintaining animal enclosures
  • Monitoring animal health and behaviour
  • Supporting and supervising children during animal-related activities
  • Promoting safe, respectful interaction between children and animals
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health, and safety

About You:

  • Experience working with animals (essential)
  • Experience working with children or young people (preferred)
  • Patient, responsible, and approachable
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and animal welfare
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Safeguarding:

This role involves regular contact with children. A DBS check is required (or willingness to obtain one).

Start Date: 18th January

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–12:00pm

Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
