Level 3 Teaching Assistant - SEND & Inclusion Focus in Salford

[Employer hidden] is currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND in a friendly and inclusive primary school in the M6 area. This school places inclusion and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do and is looking for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to children who require additional support.

The Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. The role involves both 1:1 support and small group work, primarily across KS1 and lower KS2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group SEND support
  • Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
  • Track pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff
  • Promote inclusion and independence

Requirements

Essential:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Recent SEND experience in a primary school setting (last 2 years)
  • Strong understanding of inclusive practice
  • Patient, calm, and nurturing approach

Desirable:

  • Experience with ASD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
  • SEND-specific training
