FULL DESCRIPTION

Refrigeration Engineer in Crawley

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established and supportive business operating across Crawley and the surrounding South Region. In this role, you’ll take ownership of your own client base, manage your own diary, and build strong working relationships with a variety of customers. You will receive appointments via a company-issued laptop, giving you the freedom to plan your day efficiently. Although you’ll work independently, you’ll always have support available when needed. This role is based on a 45-hour working week, with overtime paid for any hours worked over 45. You will also be required to join an on-call standby rota approximately 1 in every 6 weeks. In addition, you will have the flexibility to opt in or out of personal use of the company van.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Proven experience as an Engineer within commercial refrigeration
    • A Level 2 gas engineering qualification
    • A full UK driving licence
    • Strong customer service and communication skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Carry out refrigeration engineering activities to agreed standards, working with minimal supervision.
    • Maintain cold rooms and integral cases; seek support as needed for more complex fault-finding on remote systems.
    • Monitor outstanding service calls in your area and act promptly to reduce delays.
    • Regularly review and maintain van stock levels.
    • Uphold and promote the company’s core values and professional standards.
    • Follow all processes, procedures, and working practices.
    • Undertake any reasonable requests from management or colleagues.
