About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Trailer Technician to join our growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable role with a reputable company that values quality workmanship, safety, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance of HGV trailers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
  • Perform MOT preparation and presentations
  • Complete brake testing and safety inspections
  • Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and company standards
  • Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HGV Trailer Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems (brakes, suspension, lighting, chassis)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent) preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and a strong safety mindset
  • HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (desirable but not essential)
