About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Trailer Technician to join our growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable role with a reputable company that values quality workmanship, safety, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance of HGV trailers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Perform MOT preparation and presentations
- Complete brake testing and safety inspections
- Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA and company standards
- Accurately complete job cards and service documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Trailer Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems (brakes, suspension, lighting, chassis)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent) preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a strong safety mindset
- HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (desirable but not essential)
