Vacuum Forming Setter/Operator

You will be responsible for setting and operating vacuum forming machines, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for setting and operating vacuum forming machines, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

    Machines on site: Geiss and Shelley

    The successful candidate will be expected to:

    • Operate a minimum of two machines and cover others when required
    • Carry out rough and neat trimming
    • Separate waste ready for granulation

    Key Responsibilities

    • Follow manufacturing processes while meeting quality and health & safety standards
    • Complete and record pre-start checks on machinery and equipment
    • Report damaged or faulty equipment to the Vacuum Forming Team Leader
    • Record materials, components, and machine tools used during production
    • Notify the Team Leader of any scrap, rejects, or breakages
    • Accurately complete production record sheets
    • Report any production issues or delays promptly
    • Liaise with other departments and support team members as required
    • Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times

    Skills & Experience

    • Previous experience as a Vacuum Forming Setter/Operator preferred
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
    • Forklift licence desirable but not essential

    Salary

    Minimum wage up to £13.22 per hour, depending on experience

    Working Hours

    48 hours per week (paid breaks)

    Shift options available:

    • Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 18:00
    • Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 16:00, Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
