Vacuum Forming Setter/Operator
You will be responsible for setting and operating vacuum forming machines, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

The Role
You will be responsible for setting and operating vacuum forming machines, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.
Machines on site: Geiss and Shelley
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Operate a minimum of two machines and cover others when required
- Carry out rough and neat trimming
- Separate waste ready for granulation
Key Responsibilities
- Follow manufacturing processes while meeting quality and health & safety standards
- Complete and record pre-start checks on machinery and equipment
- Report damaged or faulty equipment to the Vacuum Forming Team Leader
- Record materials, components, and machine tools used during production
- Notify the Team Leader of any scrap, rejects, or breakages
- Accurately complete production record sheets
- Report any production issues or delays promptly
- Liaise with other departments and support team members as required
- Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Vacuum Forming Setter/Operator preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
Salary
Minimum wage up to £13.22 per hour, depending on experience
Working Hours
48 hours per week (paid breaks)
Shift options available:
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 18:00
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 16:00, Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
