Secondary Teaching Assistant in Manchester

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are working with a high-performing Secondary School in North Manchester who are looking for a confident and dynamic Teaching Assistant to start in January 2026, to support SEND pupils across the curriculum.

Role: Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

Location: North Manchester

Contract: Full-time / Term-time only

Minimum pay rate: £95/day

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in North Manchester. What will you do:

  • Work closely with teachers to support learning in the classroom.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher.
  • Previous experience working in a UK school is desirable.
  • Experience working with young people in either a voluntary or professional capacity desirable.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year or willingness to complete Prospero's online Safeguarding Training.

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
