An established and reputable civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Foreman/Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves the delivery of infrastructure projects in the Moray area of Scotland, with full responsibility for site operations, safety, quality, and programme performance. You will take a hands-on leadership role, coordinating site activities from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The position suits a proactive individual who can lead teams effectively while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all on-site activities from project start through to final handover
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure smooth delivery of works
  • Ensure all works comply with technical specifications, drawings, and industry standards
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture on site
  • Liaise closely with clients, engineers, and project managers to manage progress and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, and progress reports
  • Monitor programme performance and provide regular updates to senior management

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Site Foreman and/or Site Manager role within civil engineering
  • Background in infrastructure works such as earthworks, reinforced concrete, deep drainage, roads, and utilities
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • HNC, HND, or Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification
  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditation
  • Valid 3-Day First Aid certificate
  • CSCS Gold or Black (Management) card
  • Full UK driving licence
