Are you an organised and professional administrator looking for work in local schools? [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Services is currently recruiting experienced Administrative Assistants to support busy school offices across Primary, Secondary, and SEN schools in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. We have immediate start opportunities, with both short-term and long-term roles available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front-of-house reception duties, including greeting visitors and handling phone and in-person enquiries
  • Maintaining student records and school databases (e.g. SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom)
  • Managing emails, post, and internal communications
  • Supporting attendance monitoring and pupil data administration
  • Assisting with the organisation of school events, trips, and diary management
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to senior staff
  • Ensuring safeguarding and confidentiality procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a school or office-based administrative role
  • Working knowledge of school MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, or similar)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
