FULL DESCRIPTION

PCB Layout Engineer

This job role will design and develop high-quality PCB layouts for innovative products, manage ECAD libraries, and collaborate across teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and manufacturing processes, supporting SEA’s commitment to reliability and excellence. PCB Layout Engineer will be based at one of our sites. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £64k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and develop PCB layouts for diverse SEA products, translating schematics into optimized designs that meet technical specifications and IPC standards.
  • Generate complete manufacturing data packs, including Gerber files and drawings, ensuring accuracy and readiness for fabrication and assembly.
  • Create, maintain, and administer ECAD (Altium) libraries of schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
  • Independently manage component libraries, establish processes and standards, and document workflows to ensure consistency and accuracy across all PCB design projects.
  • Provide user support for ECAD tools and processes, facilitate design reviews and approvals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with business and industry requirements.
