Are you an experienced estimator with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for delivering accurate cost assessments? Mitchellson is expanding, and we are looking for one Senior Estimator and one Intermediate Estimator to join our growing team! Play a pivotal role in shaping our projects from the very start and help drive our continued success.
Mitchellson is one of the largest and most successful family-run Groundworks and Concrete Frame subcontractors in the UK, with over 35 years in business. Our project values range from £1m to £100m+. We have a strong reputation within the construction industry and have delivered major projects such as Battersea Power Station, Brent Civic Centre Wembley, K1 Knightsbridge, St Barts Hospital, and the Kings Cross development, to name a few. We pride ourselves on delivering work to the highest standard and consistently meeting our clients' needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most respected Groundworks and Concrete Frame contractors in the UK. We are seeking individuals with relevant experience who are looking for a long-term role and eager to progress in their careers.
Some of the Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for Groundworks and Concrete Frame opportunities within Commercial and Residential developments in and around London, with project values ranging from £1 million to £30 million.
- Handle all aspects of tender compilation, ensuring accurate, comprehensive, and timely submissions for high-value bids.
- Analyse construction documents, specifications, drawings and project requirements to deliver precise cost assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather essential data and insights, ensuring accuracy and value in every estimate.
- Manage bid processes, including all negotiations, to deliver competitive and profitable outcomes.
- Business development and a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in an Estimator role.
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the Construction Industry.
- Familiarity with Industry standard contract forms such as NEC JCT.
