We are seeking to recruit a a full time, permanent Dispensary Assistant (Controlled Drugs),  to coordinate & manage end to end the receipt, processing and dispatch of prescriptions for controlled drugs.

On a day to day basis some of the responsibilities for the role will include:

• Receiving prescriptions and patient contact e.g. via email and phone; taking payment and dispensing.
• Maintaining sufficient stock levels in the dispensary including stock transfers.
• Maintaining/producing management reports on prescription activity and end of month procedures.
• Maintaining process protocols
• Monitoring shelf life of stock held on site.
• Carrying out administrative tasks relating to Import/Export of CBM’s
• Directing requests and unresolved issues to the designated person.
• Keeping records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Recording details of enquiries, comments and complaints and actions taken.

The applicant should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a pharmacy.  Experience of interacting with patients and working as a member of a team as well as being able to manage yourself in a proactive way. It is important to the role to have strong communication skills both written and oral and be a team player.

NVQ 3 Pharmacy Dispensing required and ACT qualification an advantage. The start date will be as soon as possible.
