[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Technical Sales Adviser to support customers with the design and specification of solar PV systems. The role involves customer interaction, technical drawing interpretation, and specification building. Training is provided, and the role is based in Cambridgeshire.
Technical Sales Adviser
Salary: negotiable depending on qualifications/experience
Reporting To: Design Manager
Location: Office based, Cambridgeshire.
[Employer hidden] is a leader in manufacture, design and supply of roof-integrated solar panels. With strong growth in demand, we're expanding our design team to help customers achieve higher levels of energy efficiency in both new-build and refurbishment projects.
You'll play a key role in supporting our customers with the design and specification of solar PV systems. This role combines customer interaction, reading/producing technical drawings and specification building. No prior experience in renewable energy is required as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers by telephone and email, understanding and clarifying their project needs
- Use product knowledge to answer technical questions
- Review and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
- Model solar energy estimates and design PV systems using AutoCAD (training given)
- Prepare technical documentation
- Coordinate with the sales team to complete design packages
- Maintain accurate project information within our customer database
- Occasionally represent [Employer hidden] at design meetings
Attributes
We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction and independent working. If you're enthusiastic about developing your technical skills, we can provide the training and development required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good level of maths, and basic Excel spreadsheets
- An interest in technical design (AutoCAD experience a bonus)
- Collaborative and approachable
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects in a structured way
- Good, methodical attention to detail
- Being proactive and willing to learn are key
