Are you a dynamic and experienced leader in the care sector looking to make a real difference? [Employer hidden] is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of care homes, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and team performance.
As part of our Operations Management Team, you will work closely with Home Managers, Deputy Managers, and staff teams to create safe, nurturing environments where vulnerable adults thrive. You’ll play a critical role in supporting and inspiring our teams to achieve excellence across care delivery, compliance, and business outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead, support, and develop Home Managers and Deputies across multiple sites
- Drive continuous compliance with CQC, local authority, and internal standards
- Oversee service quality, resident safety, and care outcomes
- Monitor and improve performance through audits, KPIs, and action planning
- Represent [Employer hidden] in key stakeholder meetings, including CQC and Local Authorities
- Support homes through complaints management, unannounced visits, and risk assessments
- Provide reports, insights, and strategic input to the Senior Management Team
- Contribute to company-wide quality plans, policies, and staff development initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
✔ A Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
✔ NVQ Level 5 in Management (Level 7 desirable)
✔ Proven experience in operations management
✔ Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance
✔ Experience in managing budgets and occupancy
✔ Excellent leadership, coaching, and people development skills
✔ Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements
✔ Willingness to travel and participate in out-of-hours support
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of dementia care best practices
- Experience with policy development, quality assurance, and service turnaround
- Understanding of GDPR and safeguarding practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
