[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an Associate Priest to oversee pastoral, spiritual, worship, cultural, and prayer life at All Saints West Ham. Responsibilities include Sunday services, discipleship, outreach, prayer, evangelism, worship, and safeguarding. Candidates must be ordained priests with relevant experience and skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Together with the Senior Leadership Team, the Associate Priest will:

  • SUNDAY SERVICES - oversee and deliver vibrant and engaging Sunday services within the parish, helping both contemporary and choral services to grow spiritually, pastorally and numerically. This will include oversight of the structure of Sunday services, as well as line management and coaching of service pastors, volunteer leaders and other Sunday staff. All Saints West Ham currently offers two services: a 10am Choral Eucharist and an informal 11.15am Family service with a combined average Sunday attendance of around 100 adults and young people. The Associate Priest will be expected to preach, host and lead services regularly across both traditions.
  • DISCIPLESHIP - oversee the discipleship life of All Saints West Ham, assuming responsibility for the health, growth and nourishment of members of the congregation as faithful and committed disciples of Jesus. This will include the creation and sustaining of healthy connect groups across the church, and the appointment, development and care of lay leaders.
  • OUTREACH - oversee outreach ministry across the parish, particularly through Lighthouse and Hey Baby ministries, serving people in need in our local community and reaching those outside the church with the hope of Jesus.
  • PRAYER - oversee the prayer life of All Saints West Ham, ensuring that a commitment to prayer is at the heart of the church. A personal commitment to prayer is essential.
  • EVANGELISM - oversee evangelism across the parish, ensuring that a commitment to making new disciples remains at the centre of the vision of the church. This will include oversight of regular Alpha courses, and other missional activity.
  • WORSHIP - oversee the worship life of the parish, ensuring the prioritisation of worship in all aspects of the life of the church.
  • SAFEGUARDING - play a key role, working with the Rector, Staff Safeguarding Lead, and Parish Safeguarding Officer to take
