Deputy Manager

You will work closely with the Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, supporting their well-being and promoting a positive living environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with the care team, residents, and their families.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high standards of care.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify residents’ needs and create appropriate care strategies.
- Ensure that residents receive personalized care that respects their dignity, privacy, and independence.
- Manage administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Handle complaints and concerns from residents and their families, working towards swift and effective resolution.
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for both residents and staff, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other external agencies to provide comprehensive care to residents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of residents' care and progress.
- Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in social care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a social care or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of social care regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a deep understanding of the needs of residents.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in care.
