House Manager

#### Position Overview

As the House Manager at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Services, you will play a pivotal role in creating a loving and supportive atmosphere for the young persons entrusted to us. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our care home, manage a team of caregivers, and work closely with partners to provide a stable and nurturing environment for young persons facing difficult circumstances.

#### Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of caregivers and support staff, providing guidance and supervision.
  • Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of young persons in the home.
  • Develop and implement programs and activities that promote the young person’s development and social integration.
  • Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and educators to meet the individual needs of each young person.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the young person’s care and progress.
  • Manage budgets and resources to meet the needs of the home.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures that comply with regulations and best practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture within the young persons’ home.

#### Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in young person’s welfare, child care, or a related field, with managerial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and best practices in residential young person’s care.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to the well-being of young persons.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and licensing standards.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
