Position Overview
As an IT Administrator at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Services, you will be essential in ensuring the seamless operation and security of our technology infrastructure. You will collaborate with our team to maintain network systems, support end-users, and manage IT resources to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Monitor and manage network security, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems to protect against data breaches and cyber threats.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Conduct regular system backups and data recovery operations to safeguard critical information.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain the integrity and security of IT systems.
- Be appointed as the certified Data Protection Officer to ensure the company adheres to strict data protection laws and procedures.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to support hardware and software procurement and maintenance.
- Build and maintain the company website, ensuring it is functional, user-friendly, and up-to-date.
- Optimize the company website for search engines (SEO) to enhance online visibility and drive traffic.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends, emerging threats, and best practices in IT administration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are preferred.
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support and educate end-users.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in building and maintaining websites, including knowledge of web development languages and CMS platforms.
