FULL DESCRIPTION

Foster parents

Foster parentsare people who officially take a child into their family for a period of time, without becoming the child’s legal parents. The child is referred to as their foster child.

Fostering is defined as taking temporary parental responsibility for a child outside of your own family. This is usually a child that has been placed into the care of the local authority who will then seek to settle the child into a family home environment. Becoming a foster parent with Sunbeam will be a life-changing and pleasant journey for you and the children you are going to foster.

How much do foster parents get paid per child?

As a foster parents, you will receive fostering allowance which normally covers things like food, clothing, transportation, pocket money, outings, and personal household expenses etc. Sunbeam offers up to £700 fostering allowance per child per week depending on children’s needs. Additionally, we give generous bonuses and foster carers receive other benefits while fostering with us.
